Compiled version? #2

Hi, Sorry for the delayed reply - I didn't seem to get an email for this issue and just happened to see it now. Is FreeNAS 9.2 based on FreeBSD 9.2? If so I can compile it if you still need/want it. Otherwise you can paste the error messages you get when compiling it and I can try to help. -Mark |
Hi Mark, Thanks for the reply and your offer. I switched to Linux Server to use on my server. It is too cumbersome to get FreeNAS working with new hardware components. Kind regards Stijn From: Mark Johnston [mailto:[email protected]] Hi, Sorry for the delayed reply - I didn't seem to get an email for this issue Is FreeNAS 9.2 based on FreeBSD 9.2? I have a NAS with an Asrock H87M-itx motherboard. This motherboard has an integrated Qualcomm Atheros AR8171 LAN. I installed FreeNAS 9.2 but this version (if_alc driver) does not support AR8171.
I tried to compile the alx driver but didn't succeed on my FreeNAS. I have no other environment where I compile the driver.
Is it possible to provide the compiled driver for x86-64bit architecture?
If available I can test it on my FreeNAS system.
