Updates to SEUS dash requested by GRNMS staff

1. NDBC buoy 41008 - [https://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=41008]

2. OA data from the Grays Reef sensor (this is a NOAA PMEL station). There are two sets of data from this sensor and that is due to how PMEL handles the data

• OA data that has been post-processed and QA/QC’d - [https://portal.secoora.org/#metadata/49365/station/data] - this data should be available as csv download and there is an ERDDAP link
• OA data that has not been fully QA/QC’d - [https://portal.secoora.org/#metadata/49365/station/data] - PMEL only wants people to display the graphs of the data and not download it as it has not been fully QCd.

4. Please incorporate meteorological, physical, and water quality data from the following three NERRs:

   ACE Basin, SC
   Sapelo Island, GA
   Guana Tolomato Matanzas (GTM), FL

5. There are four main GA rivers that are of interest so if you can get gauge data or discharge data from the following, it would be useful:

   Savannah River (done)
   Ogeechee River (USGS - https://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/inventory?agency_code=USGS&site_no=02202500)
   Altamaha River (done)
   Sapelo Sound - some of the data is available through the NERR but there may be other data too. The NERR WQ stations do not cover Sapelo Sound. There is no USGS station in Sapello Sound.

After the meeting on 1/22 with GRNMS, a few things to address or look into:

1. Can we track use of the dashboard? Can we well what users are querying?
2. Can we use multi-select for river data? Or, should we just plot all rivers in a series of plots?
3. Need to add GA rivers. GRNMS mentioned 8, one of which is the St. Mary's.
4. Allison Soss will provide biological data in the form of csv files. Would be great to add biol. data to dashboard.
5. Next meeting with GRNMS is on 2/26. Should have some NERRS WQ, nutrient and met data up by then, even if not from all locations.
6. Show a zoomed in map with major cities, ports and other features of interest.

TODO:

1. Make links "Open in New Tab"
2. Add mouse over descriptions for datasets, particularly sat. data
3. Simplify descriptions (but add details in the mouse over)
4. Add temp. logger data
5. Create a "data catalog/how to use" panel - include time extents of all datasets, define acronyms
6. Move to VIIRS (2012-present), but keep MODIS in a static dash (2002-2022).
7. Clarify inset maps
8. 508 compliance?
9. How to make easier for students and general public to use? - Make a simpler quarto/shiny app
10. Boundaries - EEZ, etc. - make new map? Should we have a gallery of maps?
