This requires rsync 3.1.0+ locally & on the remote. A warning is logged but doesn't abort.

@jordanandree you mind taking a look at this? will be useful for us (and hopefully others) for using a multi-user deploy model for our branchable stuff. So the dir can be set to be owned by the group.
