[smio] Strange behavior when acquiring FOFB samples

Problem: When acquiring FOFB samples the server takes a long time (sometimes never) to respond after it has finished acquiring the samples. The following messages appear on the log:

[sm_io:acq] data_acquire: Waiting for completion... #99
[sm_io:acq] data_acquire: Status done = 0x00000002
[sm_io:acq] data_acquire: Waiting for completion... #100
[sm_io:acq] data_acquire: Status done = 0x00010109
[sm_io:acq] wait_data_acquire: Number of tries was exceeded

This was possible due to an existing "dev_io" instance
