During the upgrade from Mint 21.3 to Mint 22, the desktop fonts become unreadable:

This is is a know issue upstream: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/2034986.

The upgrade tool does not use the system fonts (it specifically uses Sans instead) so it is not impacted by this issue.

During the upgrade we recommend users ignore this issue and continue until the upgrade is finished.

Once the upgrade is successful, this issue goes away upon reboot.

I noticed it during my upgrade process
For me the issue were gone before the reboot, once the process is done or near the finish line
