When playing video in MPV, every few seconds there will be a judder, as if frames were being dropped. MPV does not report any dropped or mistimed frames when this happens. Especially noticeable when a shot pans smoothly. This occurs only when running Cinnamon.
Playing back the same video file under the KDE, MATE, lxqt, lxde, and IceWM desktop environments does not exhibit this behaviour.
I have tested both with a custom MPV config and with an unconfigured MPV, the behaviour is the same. I have tested with VLC, and the behaviour occurs on VLC too (Jittery under cinnamon, not under any other DE)
Steps to reproduce
Log into system with Cinnamon
Play a video file with MPV
Log into IceWM/Mate/KDE
Video is not juddering
Distribution
Mint 22 Cinnamon
Package version
6.2.9
Graphics hardware in use
AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
Frequency
Always
