Calendar is installed and hows in the side tab without any of the functionality

Describe the bug

Calendar does not recognize my daily notes. Even the ones it creates itself. I can not see dots indicating word count. After creating a file from calendar, it is added to my daily folder but if I click on the date again it will ask me if I want to create the same file again. Moreover it will fail to create the file because it already exists.

Steps to reproduce

1. Go to 'calendar'
2. Click on 'a date'
3. Confirm file creation
4. File created in the linked folder but not recognized by the plug in.

Expected behavior

I expect to see the dots for my word count and the plugin to recognize files it creates..

I use obsidian on my laptop and phone. I sync via Syncthing. I have had the plug in installed for a couple months now. The issues have persisted through every version of obsidian.
