component
is a WordPress object referring to a Weblate component hosted on a Weblate instance.See #6 for creating, viewing and editing component.
The administrator of the website can add, edit, delete any component from the WP admin area. A "Components" item is shown inside the "Weblate" menu of the admin area (side bar).
When clicking on
Components
inside the Weblate admin menu, the list of projects is shown with:name
: the name of the component used in WordPressweb URL
: to go to the Weblate componentlast check
: the last time the component has been checked from the corresponding Weblate componentstatus
: displays up to date or the number of commit ready to be appliedtranslated
: displays the percentage of translated strings into this componentThe list will also provide the following bulk actions:
update metadata
: to update meta informationcheck for updates
: to fetch the number of commit ready to be appliedapply changes
: to apply recursively the new translation(s) onto all the elements of the selected component(s)The following filters will be shown:
Projects
: to show only components of selected project(s). This drop-down list contains _All projects followed by each existing project.When creating a new component a check-box can be checked to create the associated Weblate component on the Weblate project.
If the component is currently used for translating any element of the website it won't be possible to delete it. The administrator must remove every existing link to this component first.
