I followed step 2 of the documentation on how to install NTL and the installation was successful. However, when I perform "make install" for LattE in step N., the following error shows up:

Could you please advice what I need to do differently?

Thanks so much in advance!

Hi, did you manage to solve the issue @hridaythakkar ?

I'm having the same issue on Mac OS Ventura 13.4.1. I tried both installing NTL from homebrew and compiling it from source, following the README here. The outcome is the same.

After running:
./configure --prefix=$HOME/latte --with-default=$HOME/latte

I got the following config.log (https://pastebin.com/MHe2v72G)
and terminal log (https://pastebin.com/VQdBycPa)

Am I missing something? Thank you for your time!

I recommend to install LattE via SageMath or conda. https://doc.sagemath.org/html/en/reference/spkg/latte_int.html

Dear Matthias, thank you for the quick reply!

I tried the conda route but the package seems unavailable on Apple Silicon platform.
This is the first time for me using conda, I might have missed something. I tried:

conda install -c conda-forge latte-integrale

and

conda install -c "conda-forge/label/cf202003" latte-integrale

In both cases I got:

PackagesNotFoundError: The following packages are not available from current channels:

  - latte-integrale

Hi Paolo, have you solved this issue? I encountered the same problem while installing. Thanks in advance. @paolomorettin

Hi @pqs27 , unfortunately not. I gave up on using Latte locally on my M2 MBP.

Good luck!
