Pen input mode does not work on Galaxy Note 2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to Quill's settings
2. Attempt to change "Pen input mode"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output:
Can enter the "Pen input mode" menu and presumably disable drawing with the 
touchscreen.

Actual output:
"Pen input mode" menu is grayed out and cannot be accessed. It is possible to 
change this behavior by opening the "Override the detected pen type" menu and 
choosing "Android ICS (4.0) stylus API".

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Quill version 10.5
Android version 4.1.1 (stock)
Samsung Galaxy Note II (SPH-L900)
