Can not access web application

Hi - I am trying to use this program for a class project.  I am very new to 
programming, Ubuntu, networking, etc.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Launch Firefox and browse to: https://ip-of-vm-/OpenDLP/index.html
OR
2.Browse to the following URL to begin using the web application 
https://ip/OpenDLP.index.html
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
a webpage, instead, server can not be found

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Ubuntu 14.04 on Virtual Box VM
