Exposing Grid Trickle Charge Setting to HA

Any suggestions on what would be involved in exposing the Grid Trickle charge setting to HA.

The reason is that without it during the day spikes in consumption is pulled from the grid rather than batteries. So having a value set should save consumption during the day, especialy if feeding power back and PV conditions is variable such as a cloudy day. However this is not needed when all load is coming from the batteries at night, so would like to set it back to 0 at night to not needlesly pull power from the grid at night
