Description:
When trying to run a silent uninstall through powershell, Symantec quarantines the uninstaller. Are the installer and uninstaller EXEs digitally signed? Can they get digitally signed?

Context:

  • DBPTK Desktop: Operative System name and version Windows 10
  • DBPTK Enterprise: Browser name and version (Internet explorer, Chrome, Firefox, etc) MS Edge

Steps required to reproduce the bug:

  1. Running the uninstaller from the app data folder: "LOCALAPPDATA\Programs\dbptk-desktop\Uninstall dbptk-desktop.exe /currentuser /S"

Attach any related screenshots below.
See below.

Attach any relevant logs below.

Find DBPTK Desktop logs at Help -> Logs menu.
Find DBPTK Enterprise logs with docker logs command.

They can be signed, but that is something we currently don't have set up and would need custom development and maybe even recurring costs. If you'd like to sponsor this feature please contact [email protected].
