Hi team

What do you need to change to this workflow to make it auto paste as the default behaviour? I suspect I'm not alone in this - when choosing emoji, it's a fast thing in the flow - reaching for modifier keys or pasting breaks that speed/ flow element.

What do I need to do to make the paste default, without breaking the lovely workflow?

In the workflow configuration I changed the action modifier such that "cmd + enter" copies to clipboard whereas "enter" pastes directly into the frontmost application

how do you do that? (sorry, not great with workflows - I know you posted the image, but dragging that CMG icon did nothing and it was the action I was betting on lol)

To make it simple for you:

  • In the "script filter -> auto paste" path, delete the connector with the cmd modifier key (right click > delete)

  • Entirely delete the "script filter -> copy to clipboard" path

many thanks for this!! if anyone else is trying this, follow the above + also delete the connection with the auto-paste node + draw another fresh one with your mouse (that seemed to make it work for me).

small issue still:

the label I'm getting is wrong, even though the functionality works (i.e. it still says Copy "⭐" to clipboard, but it's actually auto-pasting as expected) - is there any way of fixing this? I tried looking into the nodes but I can't see where this text is actually coming from.

@jsumners is there a better way to do this? I would love the option to switch the default too. Thanks!
