To check absolute path (ex: c:, /, //) the _createFolders method (line 1123) has to be changed in:

function _createFolders($dir, $thumbsizes) {

            $folder = new Folder();
    if (!$folder->isAbsolute($dir)) {
        $dir = WWW_ROOT . $dir;
    }
