We need to give visibility to contributors how big is the task of translating a particular page, i.e. by showing number of lines/rows. We can simply write a script and run it given directory, so that we can also put number of rows (or number of chars).

Benefits of showing number of chars/rows:

  • Page claimers can pick up pages easily (prevent overwhelming work of translation, i.e. claimers give up in the middle, realizing the work is too much)
  • Possibly we can identify pages with lengthy words, and split the work with co-authors
