How do we use this library to measure loudness of AC3 Audio ?

Hi ,

I have AC3 audio file.
I get sf_open failure when i attempt to test the sample's loudness .

Is there a way to measure the loudness of AC3 samples using this library ?

I don't think libsndfile supports AC3. You could check out my loudness-scanner tool here:
https://github.com/jiixyj/loudness-scanner

This uses libebur128 for scanning and has a few more file/format backends such as ffmpeg.
