Map Image not Rendering

I have a problem. Whenever I put a helm on a boat and go into the boat to put markers on the boat, the map is all red. I can't tell where anything is. I am on macOS High Sierra. I have downloaded the core mod and the markers work, but the map is solid red with no shade differences. Thanks for your help!
