I collaborate on an open source project on GitHub and we make releases there. I then have to pull those changes into a branch specific to my facility with a few additions to make it deployable here. So, when there is a new release I merge the upstream tag into the local deploy branch. I prefer to do this rather than just merging main because it is then clear in the history what versions were pulled in when.
Could we have Shift+M in the Tag panel to merge a tag into the current branch, as can be done in the Branch panel?
