Oandbackuo crashes onplanned backups

For a while it seems oandbackup has been silently crashing in the background when it should have been doing a planned backup. Even opening the app and forcing it to do the planned backup crashes it with no error message.
Doing a similar batch upgrade instead seems to work flawlessly
The app seems to have been working well for a while and it seems to not have done any new backup since december, I noticed it when i checked my cloud backups and those where not up to date
I'm running 0.3.5 universal from fdroid on a OP3T running AOSP Extended 8.1.0
