Is it possible to get subtitles for video? #217
Comments
This should be possible. Can you please provide a Youtube url as an example and quote what the subtitle of this video is? |

would be nice if you can make a url like a video mp4 video. |
As I understand it, subtitles can be provided in multiple languages - not sure how we'd want to handle that in the UI. Maybe on the download screen we have a checkbox for "include subtitles" and a drop-down for which language? Or, on the screen where you provide the video ID we add a checkbox for "also look for subtitles" (could be passed in as a parameter). Then we would know to look for available subtitle languages - I'm assuming somewhere youtube provides a list of available subtitle languages so we don't have to guess. Finally, maybe a config option to always try to get subtitles in a language chosen by the installer? |
yes would be nice. |
