'Balloon' is eleven inches tall, sitting atop a seven inch twisted brass base wrapped in black cord and affixed with a vintage button. The total height is eighteen inches. The name came to me as soon as the piece was complete - a balloon losing altitude and air, slowly deflating. The cord extends out approximately 65 inches and magnets secure the globe to the base.

'Southwest' is seven inches in diameter and sits on a thirteen inch base made of brass pipe covered in black cord. The globe joins the base with magnets. The cord is 43 inches long. The base is weighted for stability. This is my first lamp and emerged after I learned various techniques involved in the designing, layout and carving processes on other practice pieces.

The circles give it a lighthearted, comical look and the name 'Circus' easily came to mind. The red cording and swirls of the pipe flow into one another and take off! The globe is affixed to the base magnetically and the cord is 37 inches long. The base is also weighted for stability.
