Hi @theShiZa thank you for taking the time to write this post and for all the nice words! Haha the jalagar touch :D I 100% agree with you that this would be really useful, as we were building Fit Friends (which closed down T_T) we ran into all the shadow issues and reflections and had to re-render a ton of layers. Have you looked into https://github.com/torrinworx/Blend_My_NFTs ? I know Torrin and he's great. He charges to generate your NFTs for you using AWS and it's faster and less limitations than my engine! Let me know if that doesn't work, don't think I can work on any Blendr plug-in in the short term :(. I'm working at Gem and we're launching our v2 soon. Thanks! |

Hi @jalagar James!
Hope you're well.
Hey I was just wondering if you'll PLEASE consider making your Animated Art Engine as a Blender plugin to directly work for 3D NFTs & animated 3D NFTs in near future?? There's only a few I know of that are still in early stages, they have things like logic, metadata output etc but they just don't have the Jalagar touch you know ?? :) Your fork as a Blender NFT Generator would be insane & they are also written mainly in Python. People are REALLY wanting an awesome all-in-one Blender NFT Generator as a plugin, especially one that supports animations & has all the settings/options that we've become used to from forks such as your very popular & excellent & proven one.
Blender doesn't support direct .GIF outputs but that's the least of problems as we can just use a batch GIF maker for the exported animated NFT PNG sequences.
Just to give you an idea I guess of how it'd look like, here is one of the more known ones from a guy called Thangy, his generator Blender plugin is called Raptor which also supports animated NFT projects --

I along with MANY other people would GLADY pay for a Blender NFT generator made by you as we know how much effort you'd be putting in & from your experience. Blender is also available on Macs.
It's just soooo much easier/time-saving to do it in-house in Blender when doing 3D & 3D animated NFTs as we don't have to pain-stakingly render each layer as PNG sequences first & can be done directly from Blender. This saves ample time especially in animated NFTs in the 3D space where we also have to take shadows & reflections into consideration as the animation plays. This would ofcourse benefit also 2D NFT collections as everything would just be done in the 1 place & don't have to render all layers separately first. Also we wouldn't need to batch files to overcome the 32000 pixel width limitation for big projects, we'd be able to have full control over transparency levels etc.
For example our animated 3D NFT collection we're working on is 4 seconds @ 30FPS for a total of 120 frames which we'd need to render 120 frames per attributes & traits etc & when there's a lot of traits this becomes inconvenient & crazy to say the least.
Also for example lets say I have sun-glasses which shows reflections of the world background such as city buildings etc but in another NFT with those same sun-glasses the NFT has smoke from a cigarette this time, that would mean we'd have to render all possible combinations of all 120 frames of all eyewear with reflections of with & without the smoke from cigarette, & that's just the cigarette, then let's say cigar, pipe, vape etc again all this would need to be rendered/repeated. This is just reflections, don't get me started on the shadow catching renders we also have to do :(
I mean I can give SO many more examples & benefits to this but I'm pretty sure you get it :)
As I said we'd gladly pay for this as a plugin, would this be something you'd do in the very near future while many of us are crying for it?? I know you're a busy man but the time is so right & you'd also ofcourse make money.
I mean the Raptor plugin I linked you to charges like $120 U.S for the "max" version but we'd rather pay that to someone with your experience & wouldn't even think twice.
Thanks James!
