not building .gifs in step3

Hi,
Managed to make it through to step 3. when i run make step3 the temp folders created with each frame as a numbered .png.
However, no .gif or .png is created in the build folder.

Any ideas for how I can fix this?

@reesepushkin glad you enjoy it! Can you set debug to True and run step 3? There could be an error with the gifs being created. Are you using multiprocessing or batching either?

took me all day to figure it out, but it was a problem installing gifski.
had to install gifski through cargo instead of brew: cargo install gifski then ran this inside vscode project terminal:
export PATH="$HOME/.cargo/bin:$PATH"

working on a mac with mojave

P.S. feeling euphoric after successfully rendering generative .gifs for the first time. thank you

Glad you got it to work! Yea gifski silently errors sometimes when gifs are being generated, not ideal experience, but at least we can turn on debug to true and try it out.

Thank you very muchski! Gifski started outputting actual gifs once I reinstalled via cargo <3
