This PR integrates a bunch of different PRs that were auto-generated and thus won't run tests:
This is a kind of lousy workaround for the branch protection rules: github won't run the tests on these PRs and thus the tests never pass and thus the branch protection rule won't let them be merged. I need to investigate implementing other workarounds so these tests run in future, but this PR will let me run the tests now while I work on figuring out the best way to improve our workflows.
