We have an unfortunate bug that would benefit from someone with good python chops.

Arachnid/bloggart#40 is causing duplicate RSS entries everytime we update a post on update.html5rocks.

I'd love help from anyone who can dive into some python. The maintainer has already indicated he'd accept a good looking PR. We'd then upstream it into the html5rocks instance and make RSS readers everywhere a bit happier.

Thanks

This should probably be filed under https://github.com/html5rocks/updates.html5rocks.com/issues

@ebidel should be, but that repo gets zero visibility in comparison. that's why I filed here.

Yeah, but that's why we separated it out. www is the main repo for contributions.

As a side note, there's a bunch of issues related to slides/updates/studio etc that need to be moved
over to their respective repos.

Engineer me thinks it should go in updates, pragmatic me thinks if we actually want it fixed it needs to live here.

Manager me thinks the most important thing is to actually fix this. so do what is needed.

Let's leave it here, and hope some kind soul from the community offers to fix it as per the label :)

Is this still an issue?

yup. basically updating any posts on updates.h5r will issue a new rss item
in the feed.
but... it's not terrible.
let's close it.
