Describe the solution you'd like

I'm using Homebridge on a Raspi and it struggles with some of the bigger loads (Video stream, etc.). I use my Eufy Dual Cam so the chime sounds through my HomePods but it really causes my Raspi to struggle. Would love to be able to use the doorbell without a camera feed

Could be nice! But door bell ringing is part of camera. So we have to append to a camera. I could make it thru a contact sensor but you won't get the ring from HomePods...

It could be very useful to simply add a sensor that informs when someone rings at the door. This could allow critical alerts to be sent using the controllerForHomekit app. As the Eufy app does not support critical alerts.

In my usage, I don't want to stream the doorbell camera to the Home app, I just want to know if someone is at the door :)
