Model Name: M2 Mac Book Pro
macOS Version: Sonoma 14.4
App Version: 2024.8 [2024.783]
Safari Version: 17.4 (19618.1.15.11.12)
HA Core: 2024.7.3
Describe the bug
Thousands, perhaps 10,000s of files of the path:
/Users/me/Library/Containers/io.robbie.HomeAssistant/Data/tmp/Alamofire_CFNetworkDownload_??????.tmp are left behind. Discovered because of slow/haltedTime Machine backups
To Reproduce
Not sure - just run Home Assistant MacOS for a while? Discovered because backups were grinding to a halt. Debugged by:
Watched that deleted process had /Users/me/Library/Containers/io.robbie.HomeAssistant//Data/tmp open,
Examined log of backups using:
log show --predicate 'processImagePath CONTAINS "backupd"' --last 10m --info
at the time the Time Machine backup halts.
Expected behavior
Cleans up after itself
Additional context
I have two HA instances, and switch back and forth between them, often using the local internet connection, but also sometimes using a VPN. Often I'll have the app connected to an HA instance, then move the laptop to another location which doesn't have internet access to that instance. Or I may turn on/off the VPN depending on usage.
I have deleted the app, removed the Container, and redownloaded the app, will check on Container files in a few days.
