We should also formalise and clarify the process of letting other people use equipment. For example:

  • I want to borrow resin printer, how should I go about doing it? Who do I contact? (in this case, it would be Robert) And if I don't know how to use it, can I just search online and then read the instructions and follow accordingly?
  • If I want to borrow and use the laser cutter (assuming it is working), who would be teaching me to use it? Can I just search online and then read the instructions and follow accordingly?
  • If I am a guest and I saw Hackerspace SG, I want to do some cutting with the CNC. I claim that I am a CNC expert and I can use it on my own. Is there a requirement which the host needs to be a CNC trained person, etc?

Perhaps searching online and self-teaching might be OK for resin printer but stuff like laser cutter might not be? Should we categorise things accordingly?

From what I recall, there was a Hackerspace that requires people to go for an hour training/tour before being able to use any of the hardware equipment. They have this formal process because they also have metal work tools, which we do not.
