I fixed my issue, but its still only picking the first suggestion instead of the one I clicked

I am having performance issues. Is there a way to limit suggestions to avoid hiccups? As I type, the app lags and makes it a pain to write. I'm using this feature to allow users to select universities in the US, a list of over 9,000 names. Any ideas @ElectrumDevelopment?
