This extension is currently using the Connectionless messaging using runtime.sendNativeMessage. This does start up a new instance of gopass-jsonapi for every single message.

Would it be possible to switch to Connection-based messaging to reduce the overhead there?
On the gopass-jsonapi side that should be easy.
