Yes it is so, because of the android gradle plugin that is being used. And to run any project, your AGP should be more than or equal to the one written in the project gradle file. And for this project it is Line 15 in b338ed4 |

I cloned the repository however when I open the project it throws an error saying
Gradle sync failed: This version of the Android Support plugin for IntelliJ IDEA (or Android Studio) cannot open this project, please retry with version 4.2 or newer.
I tried invalidating cache and restarting however it still throws the same error. Am I missing a setup while setting up the project or is it an issue with the IDE?
As a workaround I am using android studio artic fox (4.2 canary) and I also had to update the gradle plugin version to 7.0.0-alpha9 ( because the current gradle plugin version is incompatible with Android studio 4.2)
