Slidesjs causes major content flash when ~ 20 slides are present #1

I am using a few slides on the screen at once, they all switch image at around the same time causing the entire screen and other unrelated content to SlidesJS to flash.

On the docs it says use display: none; to stop content flash. Yet on the example with multiple slides, display:none; is applied to the container yet it is over-ridden by display:block. And when I use display:none on my slides container, it is over-ridden by display:block also which I'm assuming is done by the slidesjs javascript. If I override the block behaviour with display:none; everything disappears which is expected IMO. I don't see why the doc suggest display:none; when it doesn't do anything or even get applied as css.

Nothing is stopping my slides from flashing when they all simultaneously switch the next image. Can you help me?

I have attached before/after photos. See how when they are all switching (1st image), even other content disappears and even most of the slides.
