Is it possible to select multiple rows without using modifier keys?

Another thing, I'm trying to reproduce the glideapps' GDG by styling a customized scroll bar:

However, this will force vertical scrolling even if there're only a few rows in our app:

I'm also noticing that there's a height difference between the wrapper element and the gdg element:

But not in our reproduction:

I don't know how to reproduce it, do you have a custom build, or there's a trick to achieve this effect?
