Most cases xDSL is not used -> and xDSL modem does connection loop if xDSL firmware is loaded at startup - can be prevented by: do not start "PPPoE_WAN" at boot

usually to use xDSL it has to be set up manually (https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/wan/isp-configurations) -> xDSL packages can be installed manually if needed

refers to: "WAN: set to dhcp" #89

where to put this? extra xDSL package? /falter-firmware-builder/diffconfigs/?

Thanks for reporting. Sadly, I have no router with supported dsl modem. :/
Someone else who can check?

Full xDSL support is better approach.
