New and Updated Chef and Knife Gems

This is a new section we're introducing this week. We're running a gem search -r to find Chef-related gems. The search is pretty basic, looking only for 'chef' or 'knife'. Please let us know of Chef-related gems that don't include one of these strings. Check-out the search we're using for knife gems and chef gems; pull requests appreciated!

  • Chef_Solo_Nodes - (0.4.3) - Use with Chef-Solo. Grabs node info as array of Hashes or String ips.
  • buckknife - (0.0.6) - Extras for Chef's knife command
  • chef-handler-sns - (0.1.1) - Chef report handler to send SNS notifications on failures or changes.
  • chef-mail - (0.2.0) - Chef report handler that uses pony to send an email
  • chef-workflow-tasklib - (0.2.1) - A set of rake tasks provided as discrete libraries for forming a chef workflow
  • chef-workflow-testlib - (0.2.0) - Test helpers and assertions for chef-workflow
