Petsc Installation Problem on Mac

Hi,
I have this problem when installing petsc, about unable to download package "HWLOC". After I manually downloaded it and passed the local directory, it couldn't find in later during building. Here are the log files. Thank you so much for your help!

It seems PETSc is not aware of the option that you manually set:

When you want to pass options, you need to set PETSC_CONFIGURE_OPTIONS environment variable as:

PETSC_CONFIGURE_OPTIONS=--download-hwloc=/path/to/downloadedhwloc

There is a bug in the install script #3514, so you might need to remove this line in the install script

firedrake/scripts/firedrake-install

petsc_options.add("--download-hwloc")

manually.

We also suggest that you use brew installed python with $(brew --prefix)/bin/python3 firedrake-install instead of the system python.
