been testing this all morning, i previously had nearables working across both platforms with last years nearables and last years sdk. the batteries died on them, and i got a new box of estimote nearables and my apps no longer found any nearables. so, i updated my estimote sdk, deployed fresh apps to the devices, and still neither of my apps can find nearables. beacons are being found fine, but the app call for nearables estimote.nearables.startRangingForType returns an error saying "invalid action."

what am i doing wrong? why did last years nearables work and this years dont? what does the error even mean, invalid action? is there a migration document from last years nearables to this years? i was hoping to get a new box of nearables and have everything just work, it's really too bad that i need to go through so many hoops.
