Refs: #269 (comment). There are countries people don’t tend to choose on their own. I wonder if people would have a go at a random country if it were chosen for them.

Fly-by thoughts:

  • It would be good if it were a box, like all the other countries on the page, rather than a button. Since we want to reinforce the pattern of interacting with these white box things.
  • I wonder whether we could make it look mysterious somewhere – like a wrapped up present that you’re just dying to open?
  • "Magical mystery country" as the wording?

I think there are two subtly different things here — one is where we just give you a completely random country; the other where we deliberately pick a country for you (because we need more people to play it).

The latter seems to lend itself more to the idea of wrapping / disguising — like a special bonus level, that gives you extra leaderboard points, and that only appears once per week, etc.
