All the breaking changes will be added here:

06-28-2022

• New configuration system

All the vim.g.gruvbox_* vars are now replaced in a new configuration system using a Lua function. Please check the configuration section in the README file for how to set up your custom colors.

• Improved configurations are removed (gruvbox_improved_strings, gruvbox_improved_warnings)
• Highlight group overrides can be done in the setup process via the new overrides table
• italic setting will be the only source for getting italic behavior on multiple groups for now

• Dropped support for neovim 0.7

09-30-2023

• gruvbox module is now a single file
• removed get_base_colors from module. Palette should only be accessible now via require('gruvbox').palette
