A/C

  • Determine if we want to transfer ownership of all the work around managing edx-platform and, if so, to whom
  • If we want to transfer ownership, write a proposal for the process of doing so
    - [ ] This proposal should probably break down how we would want to transfer the various components of edx-platform that we own.

Notes:
This may be split up among several teams

The particular things we may not want to do anymore:

  1. Translations on-call (Axim is working on a plan to get us off owning it)
  2. Monitoring safety net for edx-platform (we get overall error rate alerts)
  3. Ensuring split-ownership for monitoring functions
  4. Deployment pipeline for edx-platform (to educate others to be SMEs here, need a training session?)
  5. Specific subdirectories

This will probably spawn multiple follow-up tickets that we can prioritize separately.

Moving this to backlog as Future work until post reorg in early 2024, when we have more info about what our team will be and what the new org structure looks like.

New plan has been created with Axim and the new Open edX Maintainers Working Group.
