Inconsistent, but sometimes I am unable to boot Windows from SATA.

  • UEFI shows menu instead of booting.
  • If I use UEFI shell to invoke FS0:\efi\boot\bootaa64.efi, it behaves approximately the same as if I invoke CLS at the UEFI shell -- screen is cleared but I remain in the UEFI shell.
  • If I use Boot Manager to try to boot from the Sata device, the screen is cleared and then the Boot Manager comes back up.

I can recover from this state by changing PHY #0 Mode to Unconnected, rebooting, changing PHY #0 Mode to SATA 3.1, and rebooting.
