I have some patches, but am not allowed to contribute them since there is no license file.

Can I send you a PR to add one? Which license would you want?

Sorry about that, I'll need to investigate what the original license of the benchmarks is, they are mostly from Larceny. I'll try to add a license file. I'll let you know when I've done that (I hope this weekend). Greetings and thanks! Peter

I think this is the relevant part of their license file. They say to see the test files for their licenses. Maybe you can do something like that and pick a license for the parts you wrote.
