the \citet command is producing authors separated by and when Marianne Vignaux would like them separated by &, e.g. \citet{richard_risk_2013} produces Richard and Abraham (2013), when it should produce Richard & Abraham (2013).

The \citep variant produces (Richard & Abraham 2013), as expected.
