\citeself produces citation with wrong formating

using \and to separate authors in the author list on an AEBR produces the wrong citation style from the \citeself command in the executive sumamry:

Neubauer, P. and Abraham, E. (2014). Using GPS logger data to monitor change in the PAU 7
pāua (Haliotis iris) fishery.

should be

Neubauer, P.; Abraham, E. (2014). Using GPS logger data to monitor change in the PAU 7
pāua (Haliotis iris) fishery.

as per MPI/MFish style guidelines.
