On Ubuntu Linux the UI gets stuck in full screen mode #484
Comments
Hello @cpreisler , |
I did some more testing on this. The issue happens on Ubuntu Ubuntu 22.04.3
LTS using Budgie Desktop 10.6.1. I did not notice this behavior on Ubuntu
running the latest version of Gnome. Not sure if it exists on KDE.

Hello @cpreisler <https://github.com/cpreisler> ,
Thank you for reporting this bug.
I couldn't reproduce this bug in the virtual machine. I plan to directly
install Ubuntu on my computer for testing. May I ask which version of
Ubuntu you are currently using?

@cpreisler Hi~ I couldn't replicate the bug within the virtual machine; therefore, I directly installed Ubuntu on my computer. What I observed is that I couldn't adjust the width and height by dragging, and could only resize the software by maximizing the window or setting it to full screen. Is this the bug you were referring to? |
I uploaded a video that I can share with you privately that shows the
issues I have resizing on the latest gnome. It sounds similar to what you
describe. Email me directly, and I will share the video with you.

@cpreisler I couldn't find your email address on your GitHub page. My email is [email protected]. Could you please send me the video related to the bug? Thank you very much~ |
@cpreisler Thank you for pointing out the two bugs. I've sent you an email with feedback on them. I'll be working on the second bug and will try to fix it. |
@leewyatt any progress here? |
@cpreisler Hi ~ |
I would suggest that @cpreisler follows up on this as I need Lee to work on other issues. |
When running on Ubuntu Linux, the UI will get stuck in full screen mode when doing the following steps.
At this point the application will open in full screen mode and clicking the button in the upper right corner will not take the window out of full screen mode. Resizing with the mouse also does not work. After several minimizing attempts using the mouse the window will eventually come out of full screen mode.
