MaxTo used in Remote desktop session does not remember regions configuration #821

Describe the bug
I use MaxTo on my laptop, which I Remote Desktop (RDP) to from a desktop PC, both Windows. The RDP session is fullscreen on the desktop and with an ultrawide and 2 x 4K displays.

After booting/rebooting the laptop and connecting via RDP, MaxTo never restores the last used configuration. It sets the same region config for all 3 displays. Everytime I have to manually set the regions again, 3-split on the ultrawide and 2-split on the 4K displays.

I have tried all 3 of the "Identify Monitors By" settings and same behavior as described above.

To Reproduce
Use MaxTo over RDP with 3 monitors and the same regions are set to all monitors, rather than restoring the last used region configuration.

Expected behavior
MaxTo should remember and restore the last used Regions configuration for sessions over RDP.

System information:

  • Windows version: 22H2 Build 19045.4780
  • MaxTo version: 2.2.1

Additional context

I truly hope no one is dumb enough to download a random file and install it from a random account.
