Is there any plan to port this to Python 3 or any existing attempt?
Are there any existing (unit) tests or type annotations? Are there known architectural decisions that would make it difficult to port?
I found this on https://serverfault.com/questions/90400/how-to-check-for-modified-config-files-on-a-debian-system and would be interested to experiment with it, but it seems too much hassle to work on if it requires Python 2.
