Idea from Simon on Team Helium:

If the user finds a document, there should be a way for centillion to recommend related documents.

Make calls to the search index backend to ask for documents that are similar to this one.

For each search result, have a button (additional column?) that says "similar documents", and when the user clicks the link, it expands a panel and shows all related documents.
