I'd like to test this on Linux
any chance it can be ported or how to use it with Wine?

Thank you in advance

It is .net I think. Try running it in mono.

Ive been trying to run it with wine, so far no luck (mainly due to DX9) but if anybody has a solution we should post it here, maybe add a page to the website about how to run it on Linux?

What version of directx works? We should at least document it.

Maybe we should go through this list? https://wiki.winehq.org/DirectX-D3DX9

Is there an "easy way" to build it in/for Linux from the code of this repo?

Im not sure that would be legal, it uses directx9 and I'm pretty sure Microsoft has a lot of license hooks. We prolly could not release a binary that contained that sourcecode.

Maybe we could find some sort of alternative to bundle with mono?
